I had a lovely time down in Portland last weekend. I enjoyed playing my own ambient set, as well as joining Terry Time Brother (super-bro Chris Benson's newest project) on drums.
Chris is a great writer and an enviable guitarist. It's been a while since I got to be a Rock Dad, rehearsing in a basement and playing loud drums. Super fun.
What's that, you say? You wish you could have heard my improvised solo set? Behold, the Ghost of Christmas Past (as in, past few days) smiles upon you! I have uploaded it to my Sound Cloud page. Please enjoy responsibly.
In other news, I will be doing a Live Atmospheres set (the first one in a long time) at the Storyville Roasting Studio on December 30th from 9am-1pm. If you find yourself on Bainbridge Island, come down, bring the family, bliss out and get lifted on one of the last days of 2017.
Speaking of last days of 2017, let me just say THANK YOU to everyone who has followed my work over the past few years. There are some things coming in 2018 that I am very excited about. A new studio record of my guitar+laptop improvisations, more shows, more videos, and some potentially unique collaborations and explorations. It's going to be a good one, I predict.
As a quick reminder, through the end of December, if you use the code "eggnog" on my Bandcamp page you get 15% off of anything. Or everything. However you choose to see it. That's a little love from me to you.
Have a wonderful Holiday Season. Talk to you in 2018.
Blessings, Dan.
